Find the Right Office

Oneida County does not have a jail or holding facility, so contact routing depends on the question. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office handles local sheriff records and arresting-agency questions from the lower level of the Oneida County Courthouse, 10 Court Street, Malad City, ID 83252. Its phone is 208-766-2251, fax is 208-766-2891, records email is records@oneidasheriff.net, and general dispatch email is dispatch@oneidasheriff.net. The sheriff website says it is not monitored 24 hours a day. Call 911 for emergencies.

Caribou County Jail is the regional facility serving Oneida County detainees. The jail is at 475 East 2nd South, Soda Springs, ID 83276. For current housing or booking questions, call the booking desk at 208-547-3094. The front office or main office is 208-547-2561, and Caribou dispatch non-emergency is 208-547-2563. Oneida court questions go to the Oneida County courts at 10 Court Street, Malad, ID 83252, phone 208-766-4116 ext. 1111, 1112, or 1114, fax 208-766-2990. Public case searches use the Idaho iCourt/Tyler portal.

  • For a person believed to be held after an Oneida County arrest, start with jail inmate records and call Caribou County Jail if an online roster does not answer the question.
  • For booking photos, use jail roster mugshots and the sheriff or jail records request channels because no official Oneida mugshot gallery was found.
  • For charges filed after arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and search the Idaho iCourt/Tyler portal for public case information.
  • For the facility serving Oneida detainees, use the Caribou County Jail page listed in the footer for address, phone, visitation, and custody details.
  • For a sentenced Idaho prisoner, probationer, or parolee, use the IDOC Resident/Client Search instead of calling the county jail first.
  • For federal custody, use the BOP inmate locator. For immigration custody, use ICE ODLS. For custody notifications in Idaho, use VINELink Idaho.
